Graduates and soon to be graduates from the Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy (DKICP) will be pursuing advanced clinical training through the 2026 American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) match for pharmacy residencies.

The Class of 2026 achieved a 91% PGY1 residency match rate. Notably, 37% of the class matched into residency programs, representing the highest such percentage in the school's history.

The DKICP Class of 2025 posted a notable 100% match rate for postgraduate year 2 (PGY2) residencies, with two alumni pursuing specialized training in oncology and ambulatory care.

Postgraduate residencies provide advanced training for Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) graduates, usually with a clinical emphasis, and sometimes a specialized focus. Unlike physicians, pharmacists are not required to pursue postgraduate training, although most who are interested in clinically-focused careers do so.
