Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
The professional Doctor of Pharmacy Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and is required for licensure as a pharmacist. Eligible Student Pharmacists may also opt for an add-on Bachelor of Arts in Pharmacy Studies (B.A.P.S) degree and/or a certificate in Health Sciences Research, Healthcare Leadership, or Rural Health.

Pre-Pharmacy Certificate
The Pre-Pharmacy Certificate, offered by the Department of Chemistry, College of Arts & Sciences, in conjunction with DKICP is a minimum two-year comprehensive preparatory program of study that provides students with the necessary prerequisite course requirements for application to DKICP’s Pharm.D. program. Completion of the Pre-Pharmacy curriculum does not guarantee acceptance into the DKICP Doctor of Pharmacy Program.

Pre-Pharmacy – Early Admission
Pre-Pharmacy – Early Admission offers a conditional seat into the DKICP Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) Program to eligible students who will complete their prerequisite coursework at UH Hilo.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences
The Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences provides graduate training to students with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree who have an interest in research.
