For the second year, the DKICP spring awards ceremony was conducted online, with awards and scholarships presented to 67 students and faculty. Also announced was the 2021 Preceptor of the Year, Dr. James Montague, a 2014 DKICP alumni who has precepts Ambulatory Care APPE rotations at the Sinfonia Medication Management Center in Tucson, Ariz.
National Nurses Week starts today and DKICP would like to thank and honor all of the nurses for their committment and dedication to their patients and their community. DKICP is forever grateful for the opportunities our students have to work alongside nurses and nursing educators in the experiential setting.

A series of webinars on four different healthcare topics will be offered to the public in April and May. They will be developed and presented by students of the Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, with the guidance of Dr.
Carolyn Ma, PharmD., BCOP, FNAP and Dean of the Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy at the University of Hawai`i at Hilo, has been selected as a Distinguished Practitioner Fellow by the National Academies of Practice (NAP). Ma was welcomed into the NAP Class of 2021 Fellows at a virtual awards and induction ceremony held March 20, 2021.
