Glide Path Paves the Way for Aspiring Pharmacists

The Pharmacy Learning Experience (PhLEx) program makes it easier for aspiring pharmacists to prepare for their future. Through this program, the Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy (DKICP) provides advising, opportunities to participate in pharmacy enrichment and learning experiences, and personalized coaching to help aspiring pharmacists navigate the complexities of preparing for pharmacy school admissions at the college.

“Pharmacy school admissions can be a daunting process,” says Jayden Kailiawa, Student Support Specialist at the DKICP. “The great thing about the PhLEx program is that students can opt into it at any point in their undergraduate studies.”

“Many students may not realize the range of career options that pharmacy offers, and for those who think that pharmacy might be right for them, the PhLEx program provides a path for focused exploration,” says Dr. Julie Adrian, Chair of the Admissions Committee for the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.
