Pharmacy Admissions Success Track (PhAST) Program

Aspiring pharmacists can stay in Hawaii and fast track their way to a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Students who are enrolled in or plan to be enrolled in one of the campuses of the University of Hawaii system are eligible to apply for the PhAST program, an early assurance path for high school and college students into the PharmD program at the Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy (DKICP).

Students with a GPA of 3.5 (high school) or 3.0 (college) with an interest in pharmacy are eligible to apply. Accepted students are guaranteed a seat in the DKICP PharmD program when they continue to meet established metrics related to GPA, PharmD admissions applications and interview requirements.

Students receive academic and career advising and personalized coaching through the DKICP to help navigate their educational journey toward a PharmD. Students in the PhAST program may meet eligibility requirements to enter the PharmD program in as little as two years, enabling them to earn doctoral degrees in as little as six years. Those who progress with college GPAs of 3.25 or higher are recognized as PhAST with honors.
