EMERGENCY GRADING POLICY

In response to the exceptional circumstances of the spring 2020 semester, the University of Hawaiʻi has worked together as a system to develop an option for students to be able to choose to take their courses on a Credit/No Credit basis for this semester only. (updated April 9, 2020)

Hale Kihoʻihoʻi and the modular buildings on the DKICP part of the campus are currently closed. 

The UHH campus is currently closed to the public. Buildings open to students, faculty, and staff on the main campus include:

Student Service Center, first and second floors: Monday-Friday, 9am-2pm
Campus Center Dining Room: Monday-Friday, 8am-3pm
Mookini Library, main floor only
•    Sunday, Noon-7pm
•    Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 8am-4pm
•    Tuesday, Thursday, 8am-7pm
Mookini Library Learning Center (lower level): Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9am-3pm
Bookstore: Monday-Friday, 10am-2pm
Cashier’s Office: Monday-Friday, 9am-2pm

UH preparing for safe return to campuses in fall

The University of Hawaiʻi plans to resume in-person instruction for the fall 2020 semester on all 10 campuses. UH will deploy a COVID-19-aware approach to providing a safe, high-quality education for new and returning students, faculty and support staff as the semester begins as scheduled on Monday, August 24. Commencements canceled

It is with a heavy heart that I come to you with this announcement. After discussions with leadership at the campuses and system level, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all traditional commencement ceremonies at UH’s 10 campuses. (March 13, 2020)

Online courses extended for the remainder of the semester

To maximize safety, other public-facing services may be curtailed for the duration of the crisis. Campus libraries are closed to the public, and other facilities and services may follow.  UH instruction will be conducted online for the remainder of the semester. (March 18, 2020)
