New student services specialists join UH Hilo College of Pharmacy

The College of Pharmacy at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo has hired two new student services specialists to help the school with growing enrollment.

Liz Heffernan is the new director of student services, responsible for developing and administering student service programs in accord with accreditation standards that promote student success and retention.

UH Hilo Pharmacy welcomes College of the Marshall Islands

The Pacific Pre-Pharmacy Program at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo has the potential to influence the economy of the Pacific region, according to top administrators from the College of the Marshall Islands (CMI). 

CMI President Wilson Hess and Executive Vice President Margaret (Meg) Malmberg visited Hilo recently to find out more about future involvement with the pre-pharmacy program in the College of Pharmacy. 

UH Hilo College of Pharmacy achieves next level in national accreditation process

The University of Hawaii at Hilo College of Pharmacy was recently awarded Candidate Accreditation Status during the June Executive Board Meeting of the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE). Dean John Pezzuto said this is an important step that will help the one-year-old program address a nationwide shortage of pharmacists.
