Maggie Morris, M.S.

Public Information Specialist

Maggie Morris created and developed the College’s quarterly magazine, Kawili La’au, for which she has edited, written, taken photos and amassed a network of talented contributors. She also manages all external media communications for the College of Pharmacy.

Prior to moving to Hilo, she was a writer at Purdue News Service in West Lafayette, Ind., where she managed the news output from the School of Veterinary Medicine, Krannert School of Business, the Black Cultural Center and the Latino Cultural Center, as well as the Board of Regents academic news. Prior to joining the ranks of public information, she was a sports editor/general assignment reporter at newspapers in Tucson, Ariz. and Princeton, N.J. and advanced to the editorial desk as an editor and project manager at the Wall Street Journal's wire service in New Jersey.
