Edward Fisher, Ph.D., R.Ph.

Associate Dean for Academic Affairs & Professor

Dr. Edward FisherDr. Fisher received his B.S. in pharmacy and Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology at Temple University. He is licensed as a pharmacist in Arizona and Pennsylvania, and has practiced in a variety of clinical settings. His first academic position was at Southwestern Oklahoma State University School of Pharmacy where he was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure. While at Southwestern he was elected National Secretary of Rho Chi. In 1998 he went to Midwestern University College of Pharmacy (Glendale) and was central to establishment of the new program. At Midwestern, he was promoted to Professor with tenure, served as the first Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and was appointed the Coordinator of the Integrated Sequence. He has devised and presented many innovative continuing education seminars and NSF sponsored short courses. Following extensive experience gained with the start-up of Midwestern University, Dr. Fisher is well-qualified for assuming a leadership position at the UHH-CoP. He will play an integral role in the evolution and implementation of the curriculum, in mentoring students and faculty, admissions, academic policies, strategic planning, student affairs, and professional accreditation.
