Aaron Jacobs

Associate Professor

My laboratory investigates the role of cell stress in disease processes (e.g. cancer) and responses to drug therapy (e.g. drug resistance, adverse effects). Ongoing project in my lab include: the discovery of HSF1-modulating drugs; the role of c-myc in stress-mediated apoptosis; the role of HSF1 in ECM biosynthesis and fibrosis; and the anti-cancer properties of flavokawains from Kava.
