Department of Pharmacy Practice
Roy Goo, Pharm.D.
Roy Goo is an assistant professor of pharmacy practice working out of Wilcox Memorial Hospital on the island of Kaua’i. Dr. Goo’s primary areas of concentration are rural health and infectious diseases.
Dr. Goo was born and raised on the island of Oahu and obtained his doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. During his time as a student he was one of the founding members of the student chapter of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy and served as the senior class president. Dr. Goo completed his PGY-1 residency at Tripler Army Medical Center. Following the completion of his residency he initiated the Department of Defense’s first emergency medicine clinical pharmacy service and served as the primary clinical pharmacist for both the Emergency Department and the Progressive Care Unit.
Dr. Goo is currently working with the Hawaii Department of Health to develop antimicrobial stewardship programs at hospitals across the state.
In his free time Dr. Goo enjoys surfing and travelling.
