Chad Kawakami Pharm.D., BCPS, CDE
Chad Kawakami is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice working out of Pali Momi Medical Center. Dr. Kawakami’s areas of concentration are Geriatric and Mental Health. His areas of specific interests are Geriatrics and Geriatric Psychiatry. Dr. Kawakami is from Oahu and graduated from Oregon State University with his Pharm.D. degree. After graduation, Dr. Kawakami completed a PGY-1 residency at The Queen’s Medical Center. Following residency, he worked as a clinical pharmacist at The Queen’s Medical Center, Tripler Army Medical Center, and most recently, at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs Pacific Islands Health Care System. Dr. Kawakami is also a Major in the United States Army Reserves serving in the 1984th United States Army Hospital – Pacific as the Chief of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Consultant to the 9th Mission Support Command. Dr. Kawakami enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters ages 4 and 6. He also enjoys snowboarding and traveling.
